I have had a few people asking me of how this is happening
(admittadly first time i asked them to stop spamming me as i wasnt aware of any such virus existing!!!)
it appears that the virus is using the same sort of tricks that the msn virus was using.
not all antivirus out there can detect this especially as its a new one
the test system that i scanned picked up 2 virus like files and entries.
first 1 that is just a w32/virus and the other a vb coded trojan
now heres the easiest way to get rid of these at the moment without screwing up your existing antivirus or security centre installations.
firstly download trustport security centre trail software.
(i have found that trustport can run along side most of the normal applications out there)
heres a link
http://www.trustport.com/download/file/TrustPort_PC_Security_EN.exe
not it will install itself, let it set up all of the installation itself unless you have a bit of tech knowhow.
next it will ask to restart your computer.
restart
when you have loaded again. you should see a new icon down by your clock
click that and choose to scan
it will now scan all your hard drives and pick up these nastys and get rid of them for you.
please bear in mind this is only a trial for 30 days, so keep installed until you are feeling sure it has gone, but please support the company as they are doing good work, and if you havnt already installed some software to protect you, definatly consider buying this (cheaper than most av out there and works great)
now for most of you that should be it.
*******warning********
although im pretty confident about the usage of this without any problems with your pc, its impossible for me to test this on every pc with every type installation.
if you do get a problem, maybe a blue screen after the restart or something, then restart the pc again
after boot device finding screen hold down or repeatedly tap the F8 key
choose safe mode from the list of options
when windows has loaded in safe mode go to control panal and add remove programs (windows vista is in control panal - programs and features)
choose trustport security centre and uninstall
restart your computer
will all now be back to the previous settings.

if you have any probs, feel free to xfire me

some dude spammed me aswell, blocked him then. btw in general, isn't it more effective to scan for viruses in safe mode? as in normal mode infected files might be in use and cannot be deleted?

it is usually effective for scanning in safe mode, but on this occaision its only none system files that contain the infection so they dont really pose much of a threat.
also i wanted to not confuse people by saying restart in safe mode unless they really needed to.
